I’ve had the good fortune to have fished hundreds of different bodies of water across North America and without question one of my favorites is Lake Of The Woods out of Sioux Narrows, Ontario! The muskie, walleye, lake trout and crappie fishing is truly world-class and when I make the trip there’s no place I’d rather stay than Crawford’s Camp! The staff at Crawford’s have always gone out of their way to make each stay incredibly enjoyable and Matt Rydberg is very knowledgeable and always willing to help get us on a great bite! I highly recommend Crawford’s Camp to anyone looking for a great stay on Lake of the Woods!

Crawford’s Camp is one of the most respected outfitters in Northwest Ontario for many reasons, the multi-specie fishing is second to none, the accommodations feel like home, owners & guides are awesome fishermen, but above else they are great people who will make your vacation a total success not just for the boys, but the entire family.

Lake of the Woods and area lakes are what draws me to the area, but the folks at Crawford’s Camp always bent over backwards to ensure you really have an enjoyable trip, and that’s what keeps me coming back!

Amazing Location and Lodges! This was our second stay at Crawford camp and it was the perfect weekend getaway from Winnipeg. Lodges have all the amenities for a family. This time around Matt took us on a guided fishing trip as well.

Karly and Matt are such welcoming owners and make the stay even better.

You can kayak, SUP, fish right off the dock, use the private beach or hit up any of the hikes in the area. Highly recommend.

I had the opportunity to join a couple friends for a weekend at Crawford’s this January to fish Lake Trout. This is a great place to stay while chasing the elusive Lake Trout. Cabins are all renovated and top-notch! Matt took us out on a guided trip the first day….what a blast. Caught lots of fish and enjoyed a lot of Ontario’s natural scenery. I’m hoping to get back there before the ice is gone this year!

Matt and Karly and Millie run absolutely an amazing camp. We’ve been going here every year for 20 years, and it just gets better and better. Rustic yet comfortable, boats and bait on site, renovations and new construction going on, maintenance and housekeeping every day, family and friends everywhere. And they’re on the best fishery I’ve ever worked. Make it a point to check it out!

Crawford’s is my home away from home, on the shore of the most beautiful and interesting lake in the world. Clean and well kept, they’ve thought of everything! The fishing and sight seeing opportunities are endless, and if you want help finding fish, Matt will ensure you’re up to date on what the fish are doing and where to find them. Crawford’s is my absolute favorite
place to be!
