Walleye season opens up on the third Saturday in May. During the course of the summer the Walleye tend to move around but we track them to ensure you stay close to the lunkers!
Summertime at Crawford’s Camp means Family Fun!
For the younger kids there is a Beach area with a play structure, water amenities and lots of sand. This joins the beach on the west side of the point which is enjoyed by guests of many ages.
There’s nothing like a Northern Ontario shore lunch!
Hire one of our guides and the highlight of your day is the “fish fry shore lunch.” They’ll pull into one of the islands, build a fire, fry up some fish, potatoes, vegetables, coffee, and a little dessert.

Where Our Business is Your Fishing Pleasure!
Located on the east central side of Lake of the Woods, in Whitefish Bay, Crawford’s Camp is near the clearest and deepest part of the lake. There’s a 220’ hole right around the point! Here you’ll enjoy access to a long list of game fish available in the area including walleye, lake trout, muskie, northern pike, large & smallmouth bass, crappie, perch, whitefish, sauger, ling cod and numerous other species of rough fish.
After a full day of fishing return to camp where you’ll find a fish cleaning house to clean your catch of the day. It’s fully equipped with cleaning tables, wrapping paper, freezer tape, sinks with running water, walk-in cooler and freezers to store your catch. Afterwards and relax in one of our 13 comfortable housekeeping cottages, all with great views of the tranquil waters of Whitefish Bay. Construction of new lodge coming soon!

Crawford’s Camp offers you a variety of hunting options including Black Bear, Deer, Wolf, Grouse, Duck or Geese we have a package to suit you. Our bear hunt takes place on a parcel of land that spans 80,000 acres and is for the exclusive use of our bear hunters. The Fall season opens on August 15 and by this time we have been feeding the Bears for a few weeks. We only hunt until the end of September. Then we start getting ready for the Moose and Deer hunts.
